ALMOST THE SAME
Clearlake | DNO19
Almost The Same is described by singer and writer Jason Pegg as a "veiled love song." "It's about friendship and having something in common with someone," he says. With a simple, yet moving lyric and ethereal melody set over a buzzy, Joe Meek wall-of-sound, Almost The Same ably fulfils Jason's mission for Clearlake's sonic style: "to find the best garage down Tin Pan Alley."
The exclusive single mix version is by Irvin Baker, who also created a "Winterlit" remix for the CD. The 7" B-side (also on CD) is a previously unreleased mix of early Clearlake classic, "I Want To Live In A Dream," by the esteemed Ben Hillier (Elbow, Blur).
