Dev Hynes, the voice, ears, fingers, flesh and blood behind Lightspeed Champion, is back with a brand new single, Marlene.

Majestic and epic, Marlene is full of headlong melodies and expansive arrangements, where the grandness is frequently allowed to loom rather than thunder, yielding to passages of repose, before the infectious rhythm kicks in again.

Dev Hynes plays every instrument on all three B-sides himself - a concerto; a cover of Serge Gainsbourg’s "69 Année Erotique" (in French!) and his version of "(He’s) The Great Imposter," written in 1961 by eighteen-year old Sharon Sheeley, the fiancé of and songwriter for Eddie Cochran.
