Here's what a few people have had to say about it:

“what might be his best LP yet...the most believable evidence yet that McCombs is living up to his own legend” PITCHFORK [BEST NEW MUSIC]

“[WIT’S END] might very well be his loveliest, darkest and oddest record to date”

“Channeling a golden age of counter-cultural pop”

“Songs so unassuming they sneak up and slay you”

“another collection of his poignantly soundtracked stories”

“Bringing the beautifully desolate tones of folk into he 20th Century”

“Far from the title’s implied despair, WIT’S END sounds more like home, sweet home... One of his finest”
