Next week marks the release of Villagers’ new album {Awayland}.

{Awayland} is the follow up to the Mercury-nominated and Ivor Novello Award winning debut, Becoming a Jackal. Engineered, produced and mixed at Attica Audio in Donegal by Conor J. O’Brien and Villagers’ guitarist Tommy McLaughlin, the album will be released on CD, LP and digitally on April 9. Pre-order it now from the Domino Mart, iTunes, Amazon, or your local record store!

NPR Music is streaming the album this week as part of its First Listen series. Stream it below or head over to the NPR Music site.

Conor will be performing live on The Morning Show with John Richards on KEXP on April 9 at 8am PST. Make sure to set your radio dials to 90.3FM in Seattle or listen online at kexp.org. For those of you that live in the tri-state area, you're cordially invited to a free intimate show with Conor J. O'Brien at the Manhattan Inn in Brooklyn on April 11 presented by the fine folks at Brooklynvegan and WFUV. See the flyer below for more details.
