Matthew E. White has shared a new music video for "Vision" from his album Fresh Bloodreleased earlier this year. The groovy, horn-driven track gets a heartwarming film treatment from filmmaker Clara Aranovich and features Edi Gathegi (Twilight, Justified, X-Men) and Caitlin Stasey (Reign, Please Like Me, Neighbours). Nowness, who co-produced the video, is streaming it on their site or watch it below.
Along with the video comes the premiere of a track from the Fresh Blood: No Skin, a new deluxe full-length featuring a minimalist mix of the critically acclaimed album, minus strings, horns or choir, previously only available on the Fresh Blood deluxe vinyl edition. Fresh Blood: No Skin will be available digitally this Friday, July 24. Stream the ‘No Skin’ version of "Vision" below the video.
Director Clara Aranovich said of the "Vision" music video:
”This track captivated me immediately upon first hearing it on an indie radio station in LA and I knew instantly I wanted to direct a music video for it. I’m generally more drawn towards narrative videos and had been doing some research into the life experiences of the visually impaired (believe it or not, it was not the title "Vision" that inspired the idea of exploring blindness but rather a coincidence). The song lends itself so beautifully to the growth and conclusion of a complete story that the writing process was breezy. And, as is the norm with me, what started as an intimate realistic story turned into something a bit absurd and surrealist and about so much more for me.”
Matthew E. White will continue touring beginning next week in support of Fresh Blood. See all dates below.

Have You In My Wilderness, released on 25th September 2015, is the fourth full length album by Los Angeles artist Julia Holter and her most intimate album yet. Recorded in her hometown over the last year and once again crafted with Grammy-winning producer and engineer Cole Greif-Neill, the album follows 2013's Loud City Song and two much-lauded previous titles - Ekstasis (2012) and Tragedy (2011).
Album opener, ‘Feel You’, is the first single from Have You In My Wilderness, also released on 25th September 2015. Watch the video below now.
Have You in My Wilderness was written from the heart – warm, dark and raw – and explores love, trust, and power in human relationships. While love songs are familiar in pop music, Holter manages to stay fascinatingly oblique and enigmatic, with some of the most sublime and transcendent music she has ever written. Like Holter’s previous albums, Have You in My Wilderness is multi-layered and texturally rich, featuring an array of electronic and acoustic instruments played by an ensemble of gifted Los Angeles musicians.
Have You in My Wilderness is also Holter’s most sonically intimate album, with her vocals front and centre in the mix, lifted out of the layers of smeared, hazy effects. The result is striking: clear and vivid, but disarmingly personal.
Have You In My Wilderness will be available on CD (WIGCD341), Digital (WIG341D) and LP (WIGLP341). For a very limited period the vinyl LP will come with a photographic print signed by the artist, via Dom Mart only. The album is available to pre-order with an instant grat of ‘Feel You’. Pre-order from Dom Mart HERE and iTunes HERE.
The album tracklisting is as follows:
Lucette Stranded On The Island
Sea Calls Me Home
Betsy On The Roof

Julia Holter will be touring the UK and Europe throughout October and November with a London show at Islington Assembly Hall on 12th November. Additional tour dates in the US, Asia and Australia will be announced soon. Live dates with ticket links are as follows:
Matt Mondanile’s Ducktails has released the video for new single, “Surreal Exposure,” from his forthcoming album St. Catherine out later this month on July 24. Watch the Richard Law-directed "Surreal Exposure" video below. It finds Mondanile and fellow musician Mac DeMarco spending a quality summer afternoon together by the beach in Far Rockaway, Queens, an apropos setting for the summery nature of Ducktails’ forthcoming album.
The video follows the release of "Headbanging In The Mirror," the first track to be shared from the album; further affirms Mondanile’s melodic lilt is at its most honest and vibrant amongst the new material.
St. Catherine, his fifth full-length under his solo moniker, is a finely-honed collection of baroque pop songs that take the blissful, cascading melodic fretwork that Mondanile has made his signature with both Ducktails and his other band, Real Estate, and applies it to songs of considerable new emotional heft and dynamic range.
Ducktails also recently announced a summer headlining North American tour that begins later this month. Find all dates below.
Mondanile partially wrote and recordedSt. Catherine in bedrooms and studios predominantly in east LA and Glendale, but venturing as far as Berlin and New York. When Mondanile finally settled back in LA at the start of 2015, it was Rob Schnapf, co-producer of Elliott Smith’s classic albums XO and Either/Or, that he turned to in order to help put the finishing touches to St. Catherine.
St. Catherine will be available on July 24 on CD, standard edition LP, and limited edition coloured vinyl LP. Few copies remain of the limited edition coloured vinyl through the Domino Mart. Pre-order on iTunes and receive both "Headbanging in the Mirror" and "Surreal Exposure" instantly.

Bob Moses have announced their debut album “Days Gone By” out on Domino on September 18th, 2015.
The highly anticipated full-length debut will feature 10 original tracks, including their current and critically acclaimed single “Talk.” To accompany the announcement of their album “Days Gone By” and upcoming North American tour (dates below), the duo also premiered the official video to “Talk.” Directed by Andreas Arvidsson and Robin Asselmeyer, and shot in Sweden, the mysterious video details the story of a young woman facing life- changing decisions.
The duo will embark on a 25-date North American tour that starts at Symbiosis Festival in California and will make stops in New York, Seattle, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Texas and Florida amongst many other cities. Tickets go on-sale Tuesday, June 30th and will be available to purchase here.
Occupying the fertile ground between organic band and an all-electronic production project, Bob Moses draw on the two poles to vividly resonate across both. A duo with an individual name, Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance’s musical endeavor plays with this kind of duality all over their impressive debut album.
Alternating between brooding dance-floor burners and moments of reflective, downbeat repose, “Days Gone By” is a record that’s not in a rush to get to its destination, preferring to subtly, slowly seduce rather than sway and swagger into submission, weaving a rich spectrum of sensation over the course of its ten tracks.
The balance of man and machine is a delicate dance that Bob Moses have realized with their debut, and “Days Gone By” is a dazzling exploration of discreet, personal moods that engages and eventually engulfs, tastefully coalescing dance music’s giddy rush with more timeless, introspective song craft. Borrowing from both but slaves to neither, as a result the record is equally effective headphone listening, as it is deft club euphoria.
A Domino Mart exclusive, limited edition of “Days Gone By” is available for pre-order here, featuring silver vinyl and a download code with two additional two bonus tracks. Pre-order the album on iTunes here. Be sure to catch the trailblazing duo live on the following tour dates this Summer and Fall.

Double Six are pleased to announce the debut album release by Yannick Ilunga, AKA Petite Noir, ‘La Vie Est Belle / Life Is Beautiful’. The 11 track LP from the half-Congolese, half-Angolan, Cape Town-residing artist is due for release on 11th September 2015. This follows the release of his breakout EP, ‘The King Of Anxiety’, earlier this year.
Recorded at Box Ten Studios in London with Oli Bayston (Boxed In) and Leon Brichard (Ibibio), ‘La Vie Est Belle / Life Is Beautiful’ is a highly accomplished album with a unique concoction of influences. The record seamlessly fuses intricate contemporary electronics and raw post-punk energy with Yannick’s stirring, soulful vocals and African shuffles that echo his homeland. Named after a revered Congolese film of the same name, the album is both a beacon and a vessel of inspiration, offering empowerment to those who need it.
With footage filmed around the streets of Lubumbashi during Yannick’s recent trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo, the first track to be shared from the album - ‘Down’ - blends unrehearsed imagery and joyful sounds to paint a contemporary portrait of Petite Noir's Congolese background and his hopes for the country's future. Watch it below:
La Vie Est Belle / Life Is Beautifulrepresents the first full expression of what Ilunga calls ‘Noirwave’, which is more of a concept than a specific sound. Inspired by innovators like Mos Def and legends Fela Kuti and Tabu Ley, Noirwave encompasses a ‘new African aesthetic’, plain and simple. ‘I think for me, it's just the story their music tells and the sense of freedom. It's about seeing the positive in dark times’.
‘La Vie Est Belle / Life Is Beautiful’ will be available on CD (DS100CD), Digital (DS100D) and double vinyl LP with etched artwork on Side D (DS100LP). Pre-order the album through Dom Mart HERE and iTunes HERE, and instantly download ‘Down’.

Baltimore-based musician Dan Deacon has shared a new music video for ‘Meme Generator,” the third video from his recent album Gliss Riffer. It follows the release of the Adult Swim’s Off the Air produced video for “When I Was Done Dying.”
The video directed by Monica Mirabile, stems from an earlier collaboration between the two on a performance art piece with choreography group FLUCT that resulted in Deacon writing an earlier version of “Meme Generator” with lyrics. To complement the video, there’s an interactive video game based on the four different choreography sequences seen in the music video. Surprises abound for those that play the game.
Director Mirabile says in regards to the collaboration:
“Meme Generator is a game of programmed choreography. The players are downloaded into a digital world and asked to play the game of semiotic codes interacting with the "house". A few years ago Dan and I decided to collaborate on a video that I was making with my own performance art collaboration (FLUCT). That video is set in a living room which looped suburban leisure choreography created by the glitch of being physically effected by technology. The inspiration for this video has been an extension of the way our bodies are programmed by the worlds we live. In the music video, four choreographers created four dances in a liminal house. I gave no rules, just asked for a response derived from the choreographers own relationship to the "program." The program being the familiar space of the house. I'm most directly inspired by the choreography of the people that surround me, as we are all affected by a similar marketed reality. We all play the game.”
