WONDER IF THE SNOW WILL SETTLE

Two albums in and you pretty much have most bands figured out. But this is hardly the case with Clearlake. It just feels like they've got a lot more to them than most bands...that we still have a lot to learn about this curious quartet from Brighton, England. While the Wonder If The Snow Will Settle EP may be a deck-clearing little compendium of all the UK remixes and b-sides (save one which was the bonus track on the US edition of Cedars), it holds some of the bands most delightful moments and actually serves as a great introduction for the neophyte. The remixed title track becomes even more vulnerable and delicate than before. "I Want To Live In A Dream" turns into a kaleidoscopic '60s jingle. And how can anyone go wrong with a faithful cover of Neil Young's "Cinnamon Girl"?
