It was a tenure in Paris which led creator and band leader, Jason Swinscoe to create Ma Fleur. Commissioned as a film soundtrack of a film not yet made, Ma Fleur is an album of soaring orchestral arrangements, delicate guitar lines, vocal lullabies from extraordinary singers such as Fontella Bass, Patrick Watson and Lou Rhodes all bundled with visual accompaniment in the form of New York photographer Maya Hayuk's 11 pictures representing each of the albums cinematic tracks. Jason Swinscoe and his band have made an intimate wistful record that illuminates a reflective mood, an album of unparalleled epic grandeur. The Cinematic Orchestra is renowned in the UK for their spectacular performances, frequently at such legendary venues as the Jazz Cafe, Jazz Bop, Ronnie Scott's and The Barbican.
