Unfurling out of Los Angeles this July comes St. Catherine, Matt Mondanile’s fifth outing as Ducktails. The new album emerges from the roots of Mondanile's previous work, from the free-form, ambient bedroom experiments of seminal underground release Landscapes (2009), to 2013's eighties pop re-imagination The Flower Lane, but ultimately moves Ducktails on to a more refined, personal and sincere place. Stream the first track from St. Catherine, Headbanging In The Mirror, now.

HOT CHIP

There are five words slipped into the middle of "Night and Day" - the hyper-infectious, propulsive track that comes halfway through Hot Chip’s fifth album - that in many ways sum up what’s In Our Heads. Somewhere between the fizzing percussion and the relentless and addictive bassline, a processed voice intones the line, "I like Zapp not Zappa".
